What is your photography style?
My sessions are perfect for families who are laid back, affectionate, playful and adventurous. I consider myself a lifestyle photographer, which just means that I try to keep the look of my photos simple and timeless, while working to capture genuine moments between you and your family. I use a combination of poses, games and prompts throughout your session to not only help keep your kiddos engaged but allow for laughter, play and hopefully some sweet moments for the whole family.
How will I know what to wear?
This is typically the biggest stressor for mom in the days leading up to your session. I always recommend neutrals. This keeps the attention on your family and always looks timeless.

What is the best location for my session?
This completely depends on your vision for your session. Session location is something that I look forward to discussing with clients! To help inspire ideas and make the decision making process easier, I have also created a great list of locations that I share upon booking your session. If I'm being honest though, my absolute favorite place to shoot is the beach - there's nothing more dreamy!
What happens after my session?
After your session, I spend time selecting the best photos to edit. Once your gallery is completed, I upload the high resolution images to an online gallery that is delivered to you digitally. Beautiful prints and products can also be ordered directly through the gallery. These galleries can be shared with family and friends and will be delivered about two to four weeks after your session date. Sometimes sooner! You have the rights to use your own professional grade print vendor if you choose not to print through me. I am happy to give high quality printing recommendations.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based out of Northern Illinois. I have four sweet babies at home so, at this time, I usually only travel up to 1.5 hours for sessions. I do charge an additional travel fee for distances over an 45 min home.
What time will our session begin?
On-location: I begin most outdoor portrait sessions 1-1.5 hours before sunset, when the light is the dreamiest and most flattering. Another option is a sunrise session, if evening does not work for your schedule. These times vary depending on the time of year.
In-home: When scheduling in-home sessions, I always plan for when your home gets the most indirect sunlight shining in through the windows. This time can vary depending on the location.
How do I secure my session date?
All sessions are booked through the contact link. A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to secure your session date. If the session is cancelled or rescheduled within a reasonable timeframe, the deposit can be applied toward a future session. If you need to cancel a session once it is booked, please do so as soon as possible to open that date for another client. An email will be sent to you once your session is booked with a contract and deposit.
